Mittler Bros. 2240-1M Small Manual Arbor Press with 3" Throat

The Mittler Bros. 2240-1M is the smallest press in the range: a manual arbor press with a 3" throat that takes the same punch and flare dies and press tooling as the larger 2200 series presses.

A 3" throat means it works near the edge of the part. That covers flanges, brackets, tabs and gussets, which is where a lot of punch and flare work ends up. Mittler rates it for a 3" punch and flare in 18 gauge mild steel. It also earns a spot as a second station: leave one tool set up in it and stop swapping dies on your main press.

The frame is 5/16" welded plate with bronze bushings on the ram. It mounts on any stable surface using the included hole drill template. It ships at 45 lb in a 43" x 13" x 10" box.

The 2240-1M also bolts to either side of the 2240-2M Dual Manual Bench Press using the pre-drilled holes. For work further from the edge, the 2200-M has a 12" throat. See all bench presses.
