Last updated: September 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Shape The Metal (the "Site", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use our services, or make a purchase from shapethemetal.com (the "Site") or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the "Services"). For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "you" and "your" means you as the user of the Services, whether you are a customer, website visitor, or another individual whose information we have collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. It explains our practices and your choices. Where applicable law requires your consent before we use certain technologies, such as analytics, advertising, or session recording tools, we ask for that consent separately through the cookie consent banner described below, and we do not treat your use of the Site as that consent.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site, update the "Last updated" date and take any other steps required by applicable law.

Some features of the Services may require you to directly provide us with certain information about yourself. You may elect not to provide this information, but doing so may prevent you from using or accessing these features.

We also automatically collect certain information about your interaction with the Services ("Usage Data"). To do this, we may use cookies, pixels, tags, session recording tools and similar technologies ("Cookies"). Usage Data may include information about how you access and use our Site and your account, including device information, browser information, information about your network connection, your IP address, the pages and products you view, items you add to your cart, and other information regarding your interaction with the Services. Where consent is required (see "Cookies and Your Consent Choices" below), analytics, advertising and session recording Cookies are only used after you give consent.
Information We Obtain from Third Parties
We may obtain information about you from third parties, including from vendors and service providers who may collect information on our behalf, such as:
- Companies who support our Site and Services, such as Shopify.

- Our advertising and analytics partners listed in "Analytics, Advertising and Other Third-Party Services" below.
Any information we obtain from third parties will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible or liable for the accuracy of the information provided to us by third parties and are not responsible for any third party's policies or practices. For more information, see the section below, Third Party Websites and Links.
How We Use Your Personal Information
Providing Products and Services. We use your personal information to provide you with the Services in order to perform our contract with you, including to process your payments, fulfill your orders, to send notifications to you related to your account, purchases, returns, exchanges or other transactions, to create, maintain and otherwise manage your account, to arrange for shipping, facilitate any returns and exchanges and to enable you to post reviews.
Marketing and Advertising. We use your personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as to send marketing, advertising and promotional communications by email, text message or postal mail, and to show you advertisements for products or services. This may include using your personal information to better tailor the Services and advertising on our Site and other websites, including showing you ads on other websites and platforms based on products you viewed on our Site ("targeted advertising" or "remarketing"). You can opt out of targeted advertising as described in "Your Rights and Choices" below.
Analytics and Site Improvement. We use Usage Data to understand how visitors use the Site, measure the performance of our advertising, and improve the Site and our product range.
Security and Fraud Prevention. We use your personal information to detect, investigate or take action regarding possible fraudulent, illegal or malicious activity. If you choose to use the Services and register an account, you are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. We highly recommend that you do not share your username, password, or other access details with anyone else. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
Communicating with you. We use your personal information to provide you with customer support and improve our Services. This is in our legitimate interests in order to be responsive to you, to provide effective services to you, and to maintain our business relationship with you.
Cookies and Your Consent Choices
We use Cookies on our Site. Some are strictly necessary to operate the store (for example, to keep items in your cart and to process checkout). For specific information about the Cookies used to power our store with Shopify, see https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. Other Cookies are used for analytics, advertising and session recording, as described in "Analytics, Advertising and Other Third-Party Services" below.
Consent banner. Where required by applicable law, including for visitors in California and Colorado, our Site displays a cookie consent banner when you first visit. Until you make a choice, analytics, advertising and session recording technologies are not loaded and do not collect information about you. You can:
- Accept all categories;
- Decline, in which case only strictly necessary Cookies are used; or
- Manage preferences to choose individual categories (analytics, marketing, and preferences).
Changing your choice. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of our Site. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Browser controls. You can also set your browser to remove or reject Cookies. Blocking strictly necessary Cookies may cause some features of the Services, such as the cart and checkout, to work incorrectly or no longer be available.
Analytics, Advertising and Other Third-Party Services
The following third parties provide analytics, advertising, chat, financing and other services on our Site. Where consent is required, the analytics, advertising and session recording services below run only after you give consent through our consent banner.
Microsoft Clarity
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Session replay records how you interact with pages on our Site, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movements. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. Where consent is required, Clarity is only loaded after you consent to analytics Cookies. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Microsoft Advertising
We use the Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag to measure conversions from our ads on Microsoft Bing and its partner networks and to show you relevant ads. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and how visitors use our Site, including the products viewed and added to cart. You can learn more about Google's privacy practices in the Google Privacy Policy and can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google Ads and Google Merchant Center
We use Google Ads to advertise our products and services, including remarketing ads that show products you viewed on our Site. Our product catalog is provided to Google Merchant Center through the Simprosys Google Shopping Feed app, which also places the Google tags used for these purposes on our Site. You can manage the ads Google shows you in My Ad Center. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy.
Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel to measure website conversions and serve targeted advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. You can learn more about Meta's privacy practices in the Meta Privacy Policy.
Reddit Pixel
We use the Reddit Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Reddit and to show you relevant ads. You can learn more in the Reddit Privacy Policy.
Website Chat (AI Shopping Assistant)
Our website chat is provided by Shopify and is powered by artificial intelligence. When you open the chat, it tells you that it is powered by AI from Shopify, that it may make mistakes, and that your messages are visible to us, before you send any message. The AI assistant may answer questions about our products, sizing and dimensions, shipping, returns and order status automatically, and our staff may read and reply to your messages. Chat messages, and any information you choose to include in them, are processed and stored by Shopify so the chat can respond to you and so we can keep a record of support interactions. Please do not include payment card details or other sensitive information in chat messages. For more information about how Shopify processes this information, see Shopify's Privacy Policy.
Equipment Financing
Our Site displays equipment financing and leasing options provided by QuickSpark/LeaseStation. When a page containing these options loads, the provider receives technical information such as your IP address and the page you are viewing. If you choose to apply for financing, the information you submit is collected by the provider under its own privacy policy.
How We Disclose Personal Information
In certain circumstances, we may disclose your personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy. Such circumstances may include:
- With vendors or other third parties who perform services on our behalf (e.g., IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfillment and shipping, freight quoting, and email delivery).
- With business and marketing partners, including Shopify, Google, Microsoft, Meta and Reddit, to provide services and advertise to you. For example, we use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services. Our business and marketing partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
- When you direct, request us or otherwise consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties, such as to ship you products or through your use of social media widgets or login integrations, with your consent.

- In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or bankruptcy, to comply with any applicable legal obligations (including to respond to subpoenas, search warrants and similar requests), to enforce any applicable terms of service, and to protect or defend the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users or others.
In the past 12 months, we have disclosed the following categories of personal information for the purposes set out above in "How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information" and "How We Disclose Personal Information":

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money. However, when you consent to marketing Cookies (or, where consent is not required, when you visit our Site), our advertising partners, including Google, Microsoft, Meta and Reddit, receive online identifiers, Usage Data and shopping information so they can measure our ads and show you ads for our products on other websites and platforms. Under some state privacy laws, including those of California and Colorado, this may be considered a "sale" of personal information, "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, or processing for "targeted advertising".
You can opt out of this at any time by using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of our Site, by declining marketing Cookies in our consent banner, or by contacting us using the details below. We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser.
We do not have actual knowledge that we "share" or "sell" (as those terms are defined in applicable law) personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information (such as account log-in credentials) for the purposes of inferring characteristics about you.
User Generated Content
The Services may enable you to post product reviews and other user-generated content. If you choose to submit user generated content to any public area of the Services, this content will be public and accessible by anyone.
We do not control who will have access to the information that you choose to make available to others, and cannot ensure that parties who have access to such information will respect your privacy or keep it secure. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of any information that you make publicly available, or for the accuracy, use or misuse of any information that you disclose or receive from third parties.

Our inclusion of such links does not, by itself, imply any endorsement of the content on such platforms or of their owners or operators, except as disclosed on the Services.

The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information about children. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, you may contact us using the contact details set out below to request that it be deleted.
Security and Retention of Your Information
Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security." In addition, any information you send to us may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us.
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, using the following criteria:
