Shipping policy

Countries we Ship To

We ship the majority of our products the the USA and Canada and select products ship internationally.

Shipments outside the USA

For Shipments outside the USA, the customer will be responsible for all import fees, duties and taxes. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Order Confirmation

Once you have placed an order, the system will generate an order confirmation which you will receive via email. This confirms to you that we have received your order. Once we have received your order, we will work with our warehouse team to commence processing your order. 

Once your item(s) are available for shipment, your order will be shipped. 

If at this point there is an issue with your order due to stock availability or other issues, we will contact you via email.

Order Shipment

Your order will ship within 1-3 business days if stock is available. You will be emailed shipment confirmation and tracking within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse. Items will typically arrive within 3-10 business days after leaving the warehouse. 

If you do not receive shipment confirmation and tracking within 3 business day of the date of your order, and there has been no other communication regarding a delay, please contact us via email at [email protected].

Most smaller items (under 150 lbs) will ship via UPS. Large items over 150 lbs or bulky items will ship via truck / LTL freight and may take longer to arrive. 

Due to the varying size and weight of the products offer, we work with a number of shipping, freight and courier companies to ensure the most convenient, cost-effective and safest delivery for your purchases. 

Damages

Please inspect all shipments at the time of delivery. You should refuse to accept delivery for any damaged packages. If you do notice any damage and accept the delivery, please note any delivery on the freight bill when signing for / accepting delivery. 

If your product is damaged or defective, please contact us at [email protected] immediately. Please keep all original packaging incase the product needs to be returned. All returns need to be authorized - please see our returns policy for more details.

Please note, Signing for your delivery without noting damages or inability to inspect the delivery on the relevant paperwork legally states that you have received your freight in good condition and Shape The Metal and the freight company cannot be held liable for any damages that may be incurred as a result of this decision. 

Leaving a note or instructions for the driver is considered to be the same as signing for your products in good condition. If you authorize the freight company to leave freight without a signature, Shape The Metal cannot be held liable for any damages, missing pieces, etc. that may be incurred as a result of this decision. 

If you choose to sign for a visibly damaged shipment, please note on the relevant paperwork that you are signing for a damaged package; however, Shape The Metal cannot be held liable for any damages that were accepted via signature delivery.

Free Shipping

Where free shipping is offered, it covers the base service available for the chosen product. Unless otherwise stated, Free Shipping excludes Alaska and Hawaii and non-US destinations.

Free UPS Deliveries

For items under 150 lbs that ship via UPS, free shipping covers UPS Ground Saver or UPS Ground (where Ground Saver is not available).

If you wish to expedite the delivery service, please get in touch prior to purchase and we will quote the sale manually whereby you will only be charged for the difference between the base UPS Ground (Saver) rate and the expedited service. 

Free LTL Deliveries

For items over 150 lbs or ship via truck freight / LTL, free shipping covers basic truck delivery to commercial premises - the recipient is responsible for unloading from truck in most cases and also responsible for moving the products from the truck into their premises. 

If you require additional services such as residential delivery, lift-gate service or inside-delivery, please get in touch prior to purchase and we will quote the sale manually whereby you will only be charged for the difference between the base LTL rate and the delivery with the additional services.
