Mittler Bros. 2200-M 3 Ton Manual Bench Press with 12" Throat

The Mittler Bros. 2200-M is a 3 ton manual bench press built around a 12" deep throat. It is the press most fabricators buy to run punch and flare dies: drop the die in, pull the 24" handle, and the hole is punched and flared in one stroke.

Mittler rates it for a 3" punch and flare in 16 gauge mild steel. The 12" throat reaches the middle of a 24" wide panel, so lightening holes in seat panels, gussets and interior tins are within reach without flipping the work. The spring loaded center locates the die on a pilot hole, and the slug ejector clears the scrap between hits. Tooling mounts straight in or rotated 90 degrees. Mittler Bros. press tooling covers louver punches, corner radius punches, corner notching, a 90 degree bend kit and a shear assembly, all sold separately.

The frame is 5/16" welded plate with bronze bushings on the ram, and it bolts down to a bench or to Mittler's optional floor stand. It ships at 68 lb in a 25" x 25" x 13" box.
