Picard 252/23 K Planishing Hammer - Checked Face, Short Pattern

The Picard 252/23 K is a short pattern planishing hammer with a 40 mm checked round face and a 35 mm smooth square face. It weighs 380 g (13 oz) with its 300 mm handle.

The checked face shrinks stretched metal over a dolly and the smooth square face planishes it out. The short pattern head is compact for working in tighter spaces.

The head is Picard alloyed special steel, hardened and tempered, and finished in Picard's blue hammertone enamel. It sits on a dual-curved hickory handle with an octagonal grip, fixed to the head with Picard's ring wedge. Picard has made hammers in Germany since 1857.
