Picard 252/47 Bumping Hammer with Rubber Cap

The Picard 252/47 is a bumping hammer with a 33 mm steel face at one end and a changeable 55 mm rubber cap at the other. It weighs 1000 g (35 oz) with its 380 mm handle.

The weight and the soft rubber face are for roughing out: knocking larger dents back toward shape without stretching or marking the panel. Turn it over to the steel face when you need a harder blow.

The head is Picard alloyed special steel, hardened and tempered, and finished in Picard's blue hammertone enamel. It sits on a dual-curved hickory handle with an octagonal grip, fixed to the head with Picard's ring wedge. Picard has made hammers in Germany since 1857.
