Eastwood 19 Inch Electric Bead Roller with Power Drive (98027)

This is the Eastwood 19 inch Bead Roller and the Eastwood Power Drive System bought together, so the machine turns itself and both of your hands stay on the panel. That is the change that matters on a bead roller: steering a sheet along a scribed line while cranking a handle is a two-person job, and with the drive it becomes a one-person one.

The drive is a 1/6 hp, 120v reversible motor with a 75:1 gear reduction, so it runs off an ordinary household outlet. A 3-position toggle sets direction, the speed dial adjusts anywhere from 0 to 20 RPM, and the on/off foot switch leaves your hands free. Slow it right down for tight curves and decorative work, then bring it up for long straight ribs. Eastwood rates it to form 1/2" beads in 18-gauge steel.

The bead roller is a 1/2" solid steel plate frame with a 19" throat, so you can work to the center of a 38" wide panel. It handles 18-gauge mild steel, 16-gauge aluminum and 20-gauge stainless. Four sets of dies come with it: 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" bead dies plus an offset/tipping set for steps, flanges and channels. That covers floor pans, firewalls, trunk floors, inner fenders and custom door and dash panels.

It clamps in a bench vise as supplied. For a dedicated station, add the Eastwood Bead Roller Stand. The roller runs on 22mm shafts, so the full range of 22mm bead roller dies will fit it.
