Baileigh EB-300 - Hydraulic Exhaust Bender and Swager

  • 1-1/2" to 3" OD mild steel tube - covers most car and light-truck exhaust and muffler pipe. Baileigh specifies 12-gauge wall from 2-1/4" to 3" OD.
  • Full die set included - radius dies from 3" to 5" centerline radius, full-length bending shoes for 1-1/2" through 3" tube, and half-length shoes for close-coupled bends.
  • Swager/expander on the same frame - expands, reduces, flares, and forms slip joints and male and female ball joints. Tooling included.

LTL Freight has a number of options, depending on your ability to unload the goods. 

The basic service offers delivery by truck where the receiver must unload the goods themself - usually a loading bay and / or a forklift is required to do this.

Lift Gate (L) means your goods will be delivered in a truck that is equipped with a tailgate loader / lift-gate. In this situation, the driver will move your goods from the truck to the lift-gate and lower the goods to ground level. You are then responsible for moving the goods from the lift-gate.

Inside delivery (I) is where the driver will move the goods from the truck to ground level and then move the into your premises. 

All residential deliveries must include the lift-gate service and delivery is usually made curb-side meaning you are responsible for moving the goods into your premises / workshop / garage.

Baileigh EB-300 Hydraulic Exhaust and Muffler Pipe Bender, 1-1/2" to 3" OD

The EB-300 is a hydraulic compression bender set up for exhaust work: the muffler-shop machine for bending tailpipes, intermediate pipes and full custom systems from straight tube, then finishing the ends on the same frame. It bends mild steel tube from 1-1/2" to 3" OD up to 180 degrees, and it ships with the full die set, so it is ready to bend when it comes off the truck.

The tube is clamped between a radius die and a pair of back shoes. The main cylinder drives the radius die forward while the side cylinders hold pressure on the swing gates, drawing the tube around the die. Side pressure is adjustable from 0 to 1000 PSI with a gauge alongside, and the knee pad runs the ram forward and back so both hands stay on the work. Half-length shoes are included for bends that sit less than 10" apart. Baileigh specifies 12-gauge wall for 2-1/4" to 3" OD tube. Compression bending is the fast, practical method for exhaust in this size range; if the job calls for full-diameter bends at a tight radius in thin-wall stainless, that is work for a mandrel bender.

At the rear of the machine is a hydraulic swager/expander. It expands and reduces tube ends, and forms flares, slip joints and male and female ball joints, using the included expander tips, segment expanders, swage dies, ball dies, domer dies, pipe flanger and clamp collets. Baileigh rates it to end-finish exhaust and tail tubes to original equipment specifications.

The EB-300 runs a 4 hp motor on 220V single-phase power, so it does not need a three-phase service. It sits on locking casters and ships LTL at about 1,640 lb, crated at 69" x 32" x 53".
